Simple Linear Regression in Regression Analysis

Regression Analysis explores the relationship between a quantitative response variable and one or more explanatory variables. If there is only one explanatory variable, it’s called simple linear regression and if there is more than one explanatory variable then it is called multiple regression.
If we are using one variable to predict the other, we call the variable that we are predicting y also called the dependent variable or response variable, and the variable we are using to predict is called the x variable also called the independent variable or explanatory variable.
